Looking to add more creativity to your life? How about taking Basic Machine Sewing class!

Beginning Sewing classes are a fun way to get your hands and your ideas working together. In this two-day class you will laugh and be creative, and you may wonder why you waited so long to learn to sew and focus is on learning to use a sewing machine. We will make a simple bag you make uniquely yours with fabric and design choices as the first class project. And in the second class we will make a simple garment that teaches you about measurement, fit and construction.

With the skills you learn and use with these projects you will be able to sew so much more on your own. One of the keys to enjoying sewing is learning to use the tools with confidence. Once you have that your creative imagination can run free.

Much of what you need for this class will be provided. In the classroom there are machines and all the sewing tools you will need, HOWEVER if you have a sewing machine you would like to learn to use, you are very welcome bring it with you*.

Repurposing and using what is at hand is a huge part of the sewist tool kit. It is my hope to help you discover the unused fabric that lays everywhere in your life. To that end, the classroom will be well supplied with repurposed fabrics. On the first day of class you will be invited to choose from what is in the classroom to make your first project.
